Table Top Episode 1: Small World (by geekandsundry)

I so want to invite Wil and friends to come play games with us… he sounds like he’d fit right in. :D

Otters Who Look Like Benedict Cumberbatch: A Visual Examination.

All otters are from The Daily Otter, for all your ottery Tumblr needs!

I especially like the 3rd one. :D

“Robert was the true steel. Stannis is pure iron, black and hard and strong, yes, but brittle, the way iron gets. He’ll break before he bends. And Renly, that one, he’s copper, bright and shiny, pretty to look at but not worth all that much at the end of the day.”

Music matters. It’s so integral and pervasive in our culture that it almost feels invisible. It’s even hard to imagine walking into almost any store without hearing music overhead. Culture provides a constant soundtrack to our lives. So it’s no wonder there’s so much discussion and debate…

#To be added to my resume asap: the Doctor thinks I’m important

Aw. I know he’s a fictional character but this just made me feel all nice and warm inside.

I think that the screenshots released of this game are awesome?
I’m a sucker for doing outside storylines in another medium?

I’m just gonna go shut up and be excited in my corner now XD <3

I really like interactive games?

Still not as cool as my Lego: Game Of Thrones creation, but hey… we make do. :D

Words cannot express how much this saddens me. I love Doctor Who, and I’ve enjoyed all the spin-offs, but Sarah Jane Adventures was the show that made my 39-year-old heart soar and believe that people really can be kind and generous and courageous and smart and just bloody brilliant. I will miss her, even though I never had the chance to meet her.

Puppies! :D (Is it Sunday yet? … How ‘bout now? … Now?)

Clearly, I am no woman.

Seriously, this is the single dumbest thing I have ever read on the NYT, and I include their fashion coverage in this assessment.

I just had a ragestroke. When I’m not on my iPod, I will be writing this misogynistic jerkoff an email that will singe his eyebrows off. His bosses will be getting one too.

How dare he?

OMG! I just had to run upstairs and wake my husband up with me yelling, “TALK ME DOWN FROM MY FEMINIST RAAAAAAAGE!”

My favorite part? (and I do say that loosely)

The true perversion, though, is the sense you get that all of this illicitness has been tossed in as a little something for the ladies, out of a justifiable fear, perhaps, that no woman alive would watch otherwise. While I do not doubt that there are women in the world who read books like Mr. Martin’s, I can honestly say that I have never met a single woman who has stood up in indignation at her book club and refused to read the latest from Lorrie Moore unless everyone agreed to “The Hobbit” first. “Game of Thrones” is boy fiction patronizingly turned out to reach the population’s other half.

I HAVE TALKED HALF THE PEOPLE IN MY LIFE INTO READING MR. MARTIN’S FICTION, STUPID EFF FACE! MALE, FEMALE, AND NON BINARY FOLKS. THEY ALL LOVE IT. I ALSO HEREBY DECLARE THAT I AM NOT READING A SINGLE LORRIE MOORE BOOK UNTIL I’VE GONE TO A GOOD HOBBIT BOOK DISCUSSION.

…I haven’t read ASOIAF, but LITERALLY EVERY PERSON I KNOW WHO HAS or who is excited about the miniseries is a woman. And the crack about women reading Tolkein? Seriously, NYT? Are we seriously, in TWO THOUSAND FUCKING ELEVEN, still doing this “scifi and fantasy are for boooooooooooys” bullshit?

………………

Jesus fucking CHRIST.

This NYT writer is possibly the dumbest person I’ve seen on the internet this week. And I occasionally read ONTD, y’all.

Um… who the hell is Lorrie Moore? I’m so horrible at being a “woman”. :p

Green River Ordinance lyrics for a TVD graphic? That’s worth a reblog. :)
